With Ms. Hilger's guidance, we took the AKCIS Assessment to find what careers they are best intentioned for based on interests and skills.
From there, we identified the top careers of people we wish to interview. Here is what we have:

Engineer: Winston Burbank, TBD (Wednesday November 7th?)
Lawyer: Paul Waggoner, TBD
Court Clerk
Software Developer: Russell Waggoner, TBD
Security Guard:
Writer:
Crime Lab Investigator: Sara Graziano, TBD
**In class, we will be identifying what questions we will ask/address of these career guests.

Current PSS Focus: 10/30
By the end of this week, all Carton Clan will have completed:
Recognizes traits of his/her culture that are unique.
*Describes traits of personal culture that are unique to self, family, community, and country
Currently, we are creating visual posters that include 8 elements of:
*Personal Culture: family, heritage, family/personal events, family traditions, household activities, religion,
*Country Culture: Things that are unique to being American, or are common in America
*Generational Culture: Things unique or are common in your generation
*Community Culture: Anchorage as a community and/or HTC as a community
After students identify 8 elements of each of the 4 categories, they will pick 3 of the 8 to expand on and give an example or explain a little further. The last step will be providing color to the poster and posting it for presentation.
